Analytics: Registration

An analytics-driven CanWe project with a tight timeline and big payoff. I set up a funnel in UXCam in the spring of 2022 and realized we had a massive drop-off on our registration page. I quickly found the source(s) of the issue and led a quick redesign that tripled our retention on that screen.

 

Problem:

~80% of people were dropping off our in-app Registration page, and we only had about two weeks to fix it before a big influencer marketing push.

Methods:

  • View UXCam recorded sessions, heat maps, and rage tap statistics

  • Tag all randomly selected sessions in Dovetail to quantify the source of the issue

Deliverables:

  • Estimations of the source(s) of the issue

  • Recommended screen changes

Outcomes:

  • The app’s total rage taps were cut in half

  • Registration completion tripled
